Hair Care Instructions

Care Instructions for Straight/Natural Wave Hair
This is virgin hair which means it requires looking after. As long as you keep to these instructions, your hair will remain looking & feeling beautiful.

Do’s and Don’ts

DO NOT use heavy oils or grease on this hair.
DO NOT cut the wefts of this hair – this is a major cause of shedding. If you must cut the wefts, make sure to seal them afterwards.

DO wash and condition your hair at least once a week.
DO deep condition the hair once a week if you have coloured it.
DO protect your hair at night with a silk scarf or protective cap.

Washing your St Claire’s Hair

  1. Brush hair before washing.
  2. Soak in warm water (DO NOT USE HOT WATER).
  3. GENTLY massage shampoo onto the hair in the direction it falls and then rinse.
  4. After rinsing, towel dry the hair and apply a generous amount of conditioner.
  5. Comb through the hair once the conditioner has been applied. This makes for a much easier detangling process.
  6. Leave the hair in conditioner for ½ an hour to an hour. (For better results leave the conditioner in the hair for even longer and seal in a plastic bag).
  7. Rinse the conditioner out and apply Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil through the hair and on the tips.
  8. Leave to air dry. DO NOT use heat to dry the hair. The hair feels better and lasts longer when the hair is left to air dry.

Daily maintenance of your St Claire’s Hair

  1. Use a soft bristle brush on your hair and comb from the tips upwards.
  2. When necessary use a light serum on the hair to give it shine and keep it silky smooth.
  3. The hair is at its best when there is little or no product in it. Use as little product on the hair as possible. Using too many products will weigh the hair down and take away from the light weight bouncy feeling of the hair.

Recommended Products

  1. Shampoo – Tresemme 24 Hour Body Shampoo.
  2. Conditioner – Tresemme Protect Intensive Treatment Masque.
  3. Serum – Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan oil (extra penetrating).
